Open-Earth-Monitor is an innovative project aiming to accelerate the uptake of environmental information and build active communities around fair and open data. It helps end-users to effectively monitor the status of natural resources at local, regional, and global levels.
Supported by the Horizon Europe program (grant agreement No. 101059548), it is implemented by a consortium of 22 partners from 14 countries.
The overarching goal is to build an open-source cloud-based computing engine that produces state-of-the-art environmental information from EO data and supports environmental decision-making via interactive, scalable, web-based applications.
By employing advanced machine learning techniques, we aim to drastically improve the accuracy of spatial representation of variables and significantly decrease processing time. The project embraces the F.A.I.R. principles, aiming to provide comprehensive, high-resolution environmental data.
